Academy presented its experience in Saint-Petersburg

October 8, International Congress called Woman, Child and HIV opened in Saint-Petersburg. Svetlana Goranskaya, PhD, Docent of Chair of Safety living participated in the Congress.
The Congress was organized by the Government of Saint-Petersburg, Legislative Council of Saint-Petersburg, Northwestern branch of Russian Academy of Science, Saint-Petersburg Healthcare Committee, Center of prevention of HIV and infectious disease, and Baltic Medical Educational Center.
Treatment and prevention of HIV of children and women is a medical field that develops rapidly. Every year new treatment, drugs and their classes emerge, new data about effectiveness and safety of existing medicine is collected.
For three days leading experts and professionals who work in field of medical, social and psychological aid to HIV-positive women and children have been discussing issues of improving preventive measures during pregnancy, birth giving and afterwards on an international level. Experts who work with issues of HIV infection shared experience and latest discoveries of science and medical practice in this field.
Svetlana Goranskaya, KSPA professor, presented her report on Safe sexual behavior of young people as a measure of prevention of dissemination HIV infection: gender aspect.
