KSPA celebrated International Tourism Day with a hike

September 27 was announced International Tourism Day by the General Assembly of World Tourism Organization in 1979 in Torremolinos, Spain. Students of the Department of Natural Geography celebrated it by going on a hike to Lososinka river.
This year students, professors and the Dean went on a hike to celebrate the 80^th Anniversary of the Department. The tradition of hiking emerged long time ago. Usually geography students participated in them. This time seven teams of biology and chemistry students joined them.
Each team made up their name, motto and logo. The hike was organized by senior students; they prepared several stations where teams competed for best orientation, fire-making and other contests. Teams grew closer when orienting in a labyrinth, showing first aid skills and competing for the best sandwich.
Freshmen will remember this day because of initiation that was organized in the woods by a senior student dressed as a shaman. 
Good weather, funny contests and quizzes combined to make a great celebration of a tourism day and the Anniversary.
