Hungarian lilac is students’ gift to the city and the Academy.

September 21, students of the Department of Natural Geography together with the Dean and professors planted trees.
80 bushes of Hungarian lilac were planted by the KSPA hostel on Promyshlennaya street to celebrate an upcoming Anniversary of the Department of Natural Geography. The event was organized by Tatyana Voronova, Docent, PhD, who has organized several “field practices” like this one before. In October 2011 Tatyana together with students planted 50 bushes of cotoneaster on Titova street. Representatives from Environmental Department of Petrozavodsk Administration participated in this event devoted to the 80^th Anniversary of the Department. Regina Antonova, the Dean, noticed that an agreement on organization of joint events on planting and nature protection between the Department of Natural Geography and the Environmental Department of Administration will be signed soon.
