KSPA professors of French prepared a plan for work with Petrozavodsk schools.

September 19, by the initiative of professors of French, Department of Foreign languages a joint meeting with teachers of French from Petrozavodsk schools was held.
For a long time professors of French have been cooperating with school teachers from Petrozavodsk and the Republic of Karelia. In the beginning of this academic year professors made proposals of joint curricular and extracurricular activities and invited school teachers to discuss work prospects.
During the meetings, colleagues shared problems connected with dissemination of French in the region and possibility to engage students to work with children.
Upon results of the meeting, professors and teachers decided that a tradition of holding free-of-charge language courses for preparation to the State Exam on French should be maintained. A School of Young Researcher will be opened for professors to help school students get ready for conferences like the Step to the Future. A group called Learning Writing will be created. In the course of the academic year, students of first and second years will go to city schools and teach Country studies of France as extracurricular activities. A joint student exchange project with university and school students and lyceum students from La-Rochelle who come in October 2012 will be continued.
All professors and teachers came to the conclusion that such meetings in the beginning of an academic year should become annual.
