The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Karelia and the State Pedagogical Academy supported the initiative of establishment of a public professional pedagogical union - the Association of rural small ungraded schools of the Republic of Karelia and took promotion of this organization upon them.
The Association was created by the decision of the Republican pedagogical August meeting on August 24, 2012. On September 14, 2012 an organizational meeting of the Association Council was held.
The First Counsil comprised of representatives of six rural schools, the Ministry of Education (Minister I.Kuvshinova), KSPA (Laboratory of theory and practice of development of Karelian rural schools, Center of Information Technology), Institute of Professional Development of Educators and the media (the Lyceum internet magazine).
Participant of the meeting discussed the draft of the Provision of the Association and took it as a base and decided to send it to remote Karelian rural schools and to other stakeholders for final edition.
The Council was elected and now comprises of:
- Tatyana Afanasyeva – Director of Veshkela school, Suojarvsky district.
- Tatyana Vasilyeva – Vice-Minister of education of the Republic of Karelia.
- Anna Volgina – teacher of Payskaya school, Prionezhsky district.
- Irina Zabrodina – Head of the Center of modernization of Education, Institute of Professional Development of Educators.
- Zinaida Eflova – Executive Director of the Association of small rural ungraded schools of the Republic of Karelia, Head of the KSPA laboratory of development of Karelian rural schools.
- Galina Kuntsevich – Deputy Headmaster of Taynanskaya school, Landepokhsky district.
- Tatyana Seppanen – Head of the Department of Education of Pryazhinsky national municipal district.
- Tatyana Tantseva – Head of the Council of Association of small rural ungraded schools of the Republic of Karelia, Director of Pushninskaya school, Belomorsky district.
