Students learned more about Kalevala

First year students of the Department of Foreign Languages, Chair of the Finnish Language together with their supervisor, senior professor N.Momotova went to an exhibition called “In the land of runes and epics. National epics of Russia”, Museum of National History of Karelia, as a part of celebration of Kalevala’s Day.
The exhibition is devotes to meeting of folk researches and performers: Ryabininy dynasty, Irina Fedosova, Tatyana Perttunen, Kirill Haurinen. Students studied the museum’s collection of traditional instruments which accompanied runes singing; saw first Kalevala editions and its translations to many languages.
