KSPA skiers are the winners!

February, 24 ended the second round of skiing of Russian Winter Universiade.
Republican Ski Center named after a prominent Karelian skier, Olympic champion Fedor Teretyev became the place where the championship was held. Five teams of the Northwest Federal District Competed against each other. They represented three universities: Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M. Lomonosov, Leningrad State University named after A.Pushkin and Novgorod State University named after Jaroslav the Wise, and two academies: Velikoluksky State Academy of Physical Culture and Karelian State Pedagogical Academy.
Ten students of the Department of Physical Culture of KSPA (five male and 5 female) participated in the race in Kurgan. In team classification after three races (classic style, sprint and free running) KSPA took a first degree certificate and a champion’s cup.
Alexander Ershov was Head judge, Marina Logvinec was senior secretary. KSPA team will represent the Northwest District in final Russia competition, which will take place in Ufa 14-20 March.
Karelian State Pedagogical Academy always supports its students in their trips to competitions.
