Europe got closer

January, 23-31 students of 1^st -5^th year of the Department of Pre-school and Social Pedagogics and Psychology of KSPA went on a study trip “Dresden, Karlovy Vary, Prague, Olomouc, Velicka, Krakow and Brest”.
Students visited salt mines in Velicka, market square, Mariazky church with Wit Stwosz altar in Krakow. They also walked around the oldest Czech city Olomouc, which is filled with architectural monuments of Xi-XVIII centuries. While in Prague they walked the Karlov bridge, made wishes by the sculpture of Jan Nepolutsky, they were struck by the beauty of the King’s Palace, residence of the Czech President, Cathedral of Saint Wit with stained-glass by Alfonse Mucha.
The name of a famous Czech artist Alfonse Mucha is little known. His style (in art, architecture, small decorative forms) was called “the style of Mucha” or “modern”.
In Karlovy Vary students drank water from mineral springs, admired magnificent architectural and historic monuments, parks, colonnades. They learned about Dresden history, carnivals of the epoch of August the Strong and his friendship with Peter the Great. The final point of the tour was the Brest Fort.
